 Goathland Station

Goathland station, known for featuring in the TV series 'Heartbeat', had military and civilian displays, plus trade set around the station grounds. These included displays by the Home Guard, an Army Field Kitchen, Commando Training, plus the Land Army along with agricultural equipment.

Several steam locomotives were running over the weekend, one of which was the recently restored Sir Nigel Gresley, seen below. During my visit, two trains arrived at the station within a few minutes of each other packing the platforms with troops, civilians and general public.
